Okanagan Homes TV Pilot Pre-released Online

November 23, 2016

KELOWNA – Producer Pamela Tomlinson has pre-released the pilot of a new TV reality show featuring the family-run construction company 3rd Generation Homes.

“Canadians are changing the way they watch TV,” says Tomlinson. “We’ve seen unprecedented growth in online video streaming platforms, made possible by contributions from filmmakers and content creators.”

According to a recent study by Telefilm Canada, viewership of videos, including web series and shorts, has increased by 15%, with 75% of Canadians now reporting that they watch nontraditional content.

“Building your dream home is exciting, emotional and not without its moments of drama, and Pam and her team have captured that all,” says Cassidy deVeer, president of 3rd generation Homes. “The pilot is unscripted, candid and offers an unparalleled insider’s look at Okanagan home building.”

While the CASSstruction pilot is currently out for distribution, the online release gives locals a sneak peek and a unique vantage point to watch some of Kelowna’s newest developments, McKinley Beach and The Creeks, take shape.

Render Digital already has a proven track record in video on demand. The three-part program The Canadian Culinary Championships is in its third season having been released online and available from Telus Optik on demand. Render Digital has secured funding and is in development with another original series for Telus Optik’s VOD platform.

Production of CASSstruction was supported by 3rd Generation Homes, McKinley Beach, The Creeks and Trestle Ridge and their local suppliers Home Hardware, Colonial Countertops, Express Flooring, Westeck Windows and Doors.
